The TACONIC RANGERS 2023 FALL COLLEGE CAMPUS PROGRAM will be directed by Taconic Rangers North Head Coach, Al Hammell and the Taconic Rangers North coaching staff.
The TACONIC RANGERS 2023 FALL COLLEGE CAMPUS PROGRAM is designed to offer a flexible, common-sense showcase/player evaluation opportunity for players and families during the busy fall season. The program focuses on getting 9th-11th grade players interested in playing college baseball onto regional college campuses during the fall season to do baseball activity and to be evaluated by regional college coaches and the Taconic Rangers coaching staff as we develop our Summer of 2024 rosters.
The 2023 Fall College Campus Program will consist of:
- 5 Sunday Fall College Campus Showcase And Evaluation Workout Sessions.
-The fall college campus program sessions will last approximately 3.0 hours each Sunday and will be attended by a coach from the school campus that we are attending and members of the Taconic Rangers coaching staff. Each session will include a player evaluation hitting and fielding workout session and then we will transition to live game play with pitchers throwing live sets of at bats to hitters in game situations for live play evaluations.
-Workout groups will be set according to age and ability.
-Player spots in the TACONIC RANGERS 2023 FALL COLLEGE CAMPUS PROGRAM will be limited at each position and will be given out on a first-come/first-served basis once a player registers and makes deposit payment for the program.
College campuses that have been visited in the past for the Taconic Rangers Fall College Campus Program include:
Fairfield University, St. John's University, Siena College, Marist College, Stony Brook University, LeHigh University, Fairleigh Dickinson University, Sacred Heart University, Army West Point.
*Depending on campus field availability, select workouts may also be held at Dutchess Community College with college coaches in attendance. Every effort will be made to visit a regional college campus each Sunday.

-There will be no partial registrations and no refunds. Make-up dates will be arranged in case of inclement weather.
-For the Fall Program, positional play-time, batting order placement, and innings pitched during the weekly workouts and game play will be based on ability and performance as evaluated by the Taconic Rangers coaching staff.
-Please understand that based on evaluation, some players may be designated as "Pitcher Only" during the Sunday weekly game play on the campuses. These players will still be able to participate in the weekly workout sessions as a position player if they so choose. We will work to give all players a fair shot at each position and on the mound to show what they can do during the Fall Program.
-The player fee for the
TACONIC RANGERS 2023 FALL COLLEGE CAMPUS PROGRAM:
- $650 Payment Per Player will be accepted on a first-come/first-served basis to gain a spot in the program.
Payment includes:
5 Sunday Fall College Campus Showcase and Workout Days; player evaluation for a potential spot on a Taconic Rangers 2024 summer roster, a program numbered Taconic Rangers jersey and hat.
Players will provide their own gray baseball pants, catcher's gear, and batting helmets.
*Please be sure to have read all of the information above and consider all of these factors carefully as you decide whether or not this is the program for you for this fall season. If you have any questions regarding the structure of the program, please call and ask those questions BEFORE committing to the program. Only program credit will be given should any player not participate for ANY reason, no refunds will be issued.
